The short version
At the moment, no links on Scanlanmax are affiliate links, and we earn no commission from any vendor.Every product link goes straight to the vendor’s own website. Those links are plain editorial links, markednofollow, and exist so you can reach the real product page without searching for it.
If that ever changes, the links concerned will be clearly labelled where they appear, and this page will be updated to name the products involved before any such link goes live.
Why this page exists
The US Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), and similar rules in the UK and elsewhere, require publishers to disclose any material connection with the companies whose products they discuss. We think readers deserve that clarity whether or not a regulator asks for it — including when the honest answer is “there is no connection”.

How the site is paid for
Scanlanmax is funded by its editor, ANDIS ZARINS. We may buy search advertising to bring readers to our guides; that is us paying Google, not vendors paying us, and it has no effect on what we write.
